Some examples of companies that might be interested in supporting certain biodiversity management activities
- companies that are dependent on certain natural resources such as clean water (water supply companies, breweries, tourism enterprises)
- companies that are investing in environmental protection measures and want to advertise these measures (e.g. certain oil companies, part of the chemical industry)
- local businesses that are working on their environmental profile or are persuing extensive marketing campaigns (companies trying to outcompete other companies or those that are entering the market)
Some examples of in-kind funding
- facilities such as rooms or buildings belonging to a private company, a school or a governmental agency that can be made available for a project
- staff members that are allowed to spend part of their time on a project
- general travel budget of an organisation that can be allocated in part for e.g. study tours in the framework of a project
