The development of tourist activities which may have particularly significant repercussions on the environment, given that there have been few planning or development initiatives in this area. The paradox is that it is precisely the resources that attract tourists which are now threatened with deterioration and exhaustion. In Belek-Turkey, biodiversity is adversely affected by the tourism industry. However, management in the area nowadays moves towards integrated approach for the sake of biodiversity conservation and sustainable tourism.
