On October 22, 2003, our Bulletin will celebrate its 10th
anniversary. During this period of time, the Bulletin has grown from
a self-publishing small-circulation periodical into an officially registered
all-Russian mass magazine broadly recognised in Russia and abroad. Its
purpose remains the same: to maintain an integral information space
for protected areas in countries of the former Soviet Union. We are
not going to retell the magazine’s history now (see the
article, Bulletin #39 for 2002). We would only like to draw the
reader’s attention to the fact that starting from Bulletin #40, all
regional scientific libraries of the Russian Federation are receiving
the magazine.
