With the amendments introduced in the Law on Protected Areas in force, the future of natural parks successfully operating in many Russian regions looks uncertain as of January 1, 2005 when they are supposed to be transferred under federal jurisdiction. What will become of one of Kamchatka's pearls - natural park "Nalychevsky" in the year to come?
