NEW BULLETIN ABOUT PROTECTED AREAS IN KAZAKHSTAN

In the context of the project on the improvement of protected areas information systems for efficient biodiversity conservation the first issue of ecological bulletin "Zhemchuzhiny Kazakhstana" (Pearls of Kazakhstan) was released. The project is implemented by the Forestry and Hunting Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the UN Development Program together with the Ecological Press Center.

The bulletin will be a monthly edition and will contain information on protected areas and biodiversity conservation legislation, environmental protection developments, Red data book on fauna and flora species, ecological tourism in the protected areas and the prospects of protected areas network development, grant programs and events related to biodiversity conservation.

If you would like to place your information in the bulletin or if you have any questions and suggestions, please, do not hesitate to contact us and to send your materials.

Also, visit our new web site devoted to protected areas in Kazakhstan and created in the context of our project: www.caresd.net/oopt. Information on the site is constantly updated and new information added. Your comments and suggestions are welcome.
